Hyderabad, Mar 2: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Floor Leader in the Legislative Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi stated that properties of the party had increased from Rs 400 crore to Rs 4, 000 crore, which underscores their rising popularity under the stewardship of Hyderabad Lok Sabha member and the party chief Asaduddin Owaisi.

Addressing a huge gathering commemorating the party’s Foundation Day at the Darussalam headquarters on Sunday, he said, “The hospitals, colleges, including physiotherapy and super-specialty colleges and many other such people-oriented structures are all signs of our transparent and loyal appreciation of the people’s trust in us. We will continue to serve them.”

Referring to AIMIM founder, and his father Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, he said, “I remember Salar-E-Millat (as he was popularly known) telling us that when he floated the party they had nothing. Under his leadership the AIMIM party earned Rs 400 crore, which is now at Rs 4,000 crore. All these properties are not just for the party but also for the people who come to for treatment or put their children in our institutions of excellence.”

Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi said, “We thought that the Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) would have learnt something from the 2002 Gujarat Riots but no, he has not... In 2002 it was genocide in Gujarat (Modi was the Chief Minister of the State then) and this year it has been repeated in New Delhi.”

Owaisi wanted the Prime Minister to open up on the Delhi violence that has taken a heavy toll. He should tell who are raising slogans like ‘Goli Maro Desh ke Gadaroon Ko’. He should speak on it.”
