Hyderabad: It’s just a few days ahead of the big Sankranti clash at the box office with Darbar, Ala Vaikuntapuramlo, Sarileru Neekevvaru, and Entha Manchivaadavuraa releasing back to back! While it is already clear that Kalyan Ram’s Entha Manchivaadavuraa releases on January 15, Superstar Rajinikanth’s Darbar hits screens on January 9. However, in between all the festive fervour of cinema, the teams of the other two films haven’t announced an official release date!

Both films have received the U/A certification, and the respective crew are going all out to promote their movies, releasing poster after poster. However, none of the posters features a release date, leading to a great deal of anticipation amidst fans and cine watchers.

Initially, both films were announced for a January 12 release, leading to a head-on clash that was a cause of worry for all involved. The Active Telugu Film Producers Guild intervened to resolve the issue, and they decided that Sarileru Neekevvaru would hit screens on January 11, and Ala Vaikuntapuramlo on January 12. It is in a bid to give both films a good opening at the box office and get good revenues.

However, it looks like things have come back to where it began, and a new resolution is in the works now. Unconfirmed reports regarding the Allu Arjun-starrer states that the makers have preponed the film to January 10. With censor formalities for both films completed, an official announcement is expected anytime soon.

Sri Venkateswara Creations, GMB Entertainment, and AK Entertainments banners jointly produced Sarileru Neekevvaru, which is directed by Anil Ravipudi. Starring Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, the film marks the comeback of Vijayashanti to Telugu cinema.

Ala Vaikuntapuramlo stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead and has Nivetha Pethuraj and Sushanth in crucial roles. Geetha Arts and Haarika & Hassine Creations has produced the Trivikram Srinivas film.
