All football fans rejoice as Hyderabad all set to have an ISL club

Kolkata : In a major boost to the Hyderabad football culture, the city is all set to have its team in the upcoming 6th edition of the Indian Super League (ISL).



This news comes as a reason to rejoice for the fans of Hyderabad, who will now have a club of their own to cheer for.�Hyderabad, a city that boasts of a strong football culture, has over the years seen a decline in the game, but this comes as a good piece of news for all the football fans in the city.

Hyderabad ISL club is christened as Hyderabad Football Club (Hyderabad FC), which is owned by Vijay Madduri and Varun Tripuraneni.

Vijay, while commenting on his new venture said, “I look forward to playing a significant role in developing football in the State, reviving its past glory.”

Meanwhile, Varun jumps to an entrepreneurial role as the co-owner of the club. Previously, he was the team manager of Kerala Blasters in the inaugural season of the ISL. “Hyderabad is a city with a�great football culture. I look forward to working with key stakeholders and building a strong foundation for the club, which will eventually contribute to the society and do the city proud,” Varun said.

The 6th edition of ISL�is set to kick off from October 20 in Kochi where Kerala Blasters FC will host Atlético de Kolkata (ATK).
