Allu Arjun pleads to fans: Please don’t imitate me in real life

Hyderabad: Stylish star Allu Arjun is on cloud nine as he scored a blockbuster hit with Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo after a long time. His previous film Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India was a damp squib at the box office after which Bunny took a brief hiatus to finalise his upcoming films. After listening to scripts, he managed to finalise his forthcoming flicks. On January 12, he had his first release of the year with Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo, directed by Trivikram Srinivas.

The film tasted great success at the box office and has become one of the top crossers in Telugu film industry (non Baahubali record) to achieve this feat. Allu Arjun and his team are still promoting the film and recently they held a promotional event. Speaking at the event, Allu Arjun requested his ardent fans to not imitate his actions (from his films) in real life.

In the film, he smoked a beedi in the Sitharala Sirapudu action-dance sequence. Many youngsters and his fans imitated him and smoked beedi in Tik Tok videos as well. This was brought to Allu Arjun’s attention who asked his fans to not to follow what he does in films in real life.

Speaking at the event, "I had to smoke for the sake of the scene, but I don't smoke in real life. Smoking is injurious to health and I urge all my fans and those who are imitating me in their videos to not follow me in this regard," Bunny said.

Allu Arjun hosted a success party recently which was attended by close family and friends. The actor looked dapped in a black suit while his wife Sneha shimmed in a pleated blue gown.

On the work front, Allu Arjun will soon kickstart his next flick with filmmaker Sukumar. He also has ICON with director Sreeram Venu.
