Hyderabad: Amala Paul has found a new lease of life post her divorce with her ex-husband AL Vijay. The actress was last seen in director Rathnakumar's Aadai in which essayed the role of Kamini, a free-spirited and a bold woman. The character required her to act nude for about 40 minutes on screen and she took it on as a challenge and aced it. The actress recently came to Chennai to promote her upcoming film Adho Andha Paravai Pola.

After attending the press meet, the actress was received the most shocking news of her life. Her father, Paul Varghese, had passed away. Amala cancelled the promotions of Adho Andha Paravai Pola and rushed to Kerala to be with her family. Her father's last rites will be performed at 3 PM at St Peter and St Paul Catholic Church in Kuruppampadi.

Paul Varghese was 61 years old and was undergoing a lot of health issues in the past. He was admitted at a private hospital for treatment where he breathed his last. Amala Paul was shell shocked, when she heard the tragic news and broke down inconsolably. At this point, it looks like she will not be able to take part in the promotions of her upcoming film Adho Andha Paravai Pola.

During the promotions of Aadai, Amala Paul revealed that she is in a relationship with a guy she met in Pondicherry. Though she didn't reveal the identity of her boyfriend, she said that she has found love in him, who had sacrificed a lot for her. Apart from her personal life, she is also quite busy on the work front. She turned producer with Tamil film titled Cadeavar, which is slated to release later this year.
