Amaravati stir: AP government challenges Chandrababu Naidu to seek CBI probe

Vijayawada: Questioning the Amaravati stir, Andhra Pradesh government's Advisor for Public Affairs Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy asked TDP's chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu to seek a CBI probe if they feel that any particular region is being discriminated in the state.

“The TDP leadership has cheated the farmers when they were in office. They have been safeguarding the interests of realtors only,” he told media on Monday.

Sajjala said Nara Lokesh has been talking high but incoherently with no substance.“While there is the all-round development of the state under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government, it is ridiculous on part of Lokesh to claim that the region was being discriminated against. All the regions are being given equal treatment by Jagan Mohan Reddy government,” he said.

Sajjala said TDP can seek a CBI probe if they think that a particular region was being denied its rightful place by the government

“An unnecessary hype was being created by the TDP through the media and public meetings that the government has done injustice to Amaravati. It was the farmers of Amaravati who have given an absolute mandate to the YSRCP government It was only benamis of the TDP who are crying hoarse of injustice as they would lose the real estate business,” he said.

Sajjala challenged the TDP leaders to go to the Centre and seek a CBI inquiry if they have any grouse against the state government. “Why are they hiding behind the veil of non-existent discrimination of a place that was a part of YSRCP dominance? The farmers are with the YSRCP government and voted in their favor,” he said.

He said stooges like N Chandrababu Naidu had devoured the lands of the local farmers.

“Majority of people who took to streets seem to be pompous landlords. It is a drama being enacted by the TDP leaders. A warm-up exercise is being done by some actors who are self-propelled with new flags and hoardings. This kind of show would not work as the sons of the soil of Amaravati are with the YSRCP,” he said.
