AP DGP orders inquiry into Cop beats Medicos issue

Vijayawada: A departmental inquiry has been ordered by Andhra Pradesh DGP G. Sawang into the allegations that police beat up medical students protesting against the National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill. The DGP immediately asked senior officials to submit a report on the entire issue as soon as the video surfaced on Wednesday.

In the video deputy commissioner of police Harshvardhan is seen thrashing a medical student for protesting outside the NTR University in Vijayawada. Meanwhile, junior doctors lodged a complaint with the DGP against Harshvardhan.
