AP Finance Department to ensure timely disbursal of salaries to employees

Vijayawada: Employees have a reason to smile as Andhra Pradesh government has instructed the Finance Department to ensure timely disbursal of salaries to its employees.

The government has asked the staff to attend the duties from Monday and follow the certain precautions to contain the spread of COVID-19.

As per the government instructions, all middle-level officers to whom government transportation is provided are directed to attend the office from Monday on a regular basis.

Assistant Secretary and below cadre officials who are in a position to attend the office, are directed to attend the office from Monday on regular basis.

All other staff members of the Finance Department, who are unable to attend the office, are instructed to work from home using e-office for prompt disposal of the files and other budget-related work. They have been also asked to be available on phone for work-related exigencies.

The government framed the instructions to clear all pending bills and pay the salaries to the employees on time during the COVID-19 crisis. The instructions will continue till May 3, the officials said.
