AP minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy tests positive for Covid-19

Hyderabad: Balineni Srinivas Reddy, minister for power in AP, tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday. The minister had been suffering from fever for the last few days and had isolated himself in his house, following doctor's advice.
The initial test gave a negative result. On Tuesday, when the minister's fever had not subsided, he was tested again for Covid-19, the result of which came positive on Wednesday.
The minister said, "I tested positive for Covid-19 and am undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. I'm alright and will get discharged soon,” he said.
The minister's health condition is stable.
Andhra Pradesh recorded more than 1.76 lakh Covid-19 cases and the death toll crossed the 1,600 marks. On Tuesday, AP recorded 9,747 Corona positive cases. The total number of recovered cases so far is 95,625 and the total number of active cases is 79,104.
