Hyderabad: AP and Telangana NCC cadets won the overall second position in the All India Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) competition recently held at New Delhi. The team, comprising 40 girls and 49 boys, competed against sixteen other State Directorates and bagged four trophies and 33 individual medals in the competition.
The team had undergone rigorous training for two months in events like obstacle training, map reading, health and hygiene, tent pitching, judging distance, and firing for the competition.
In honour of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana TSC Contingent, a High Tea was organised at NCC Directorate, Secunderabad today. Deputy Director-General of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Directorate, Air Commodore NN Reddy welcomed back the NCC contingent. He complimented the youngsters for excelling in the competition and individually felicitated the medal-winners. The DDG further stressed the importance of hard work, total dedication and commitment in all aspects to achieve better results in all other forthcoming NCC events.
