AP to hold CETs from 10 Sept, all safety precautions in place: Edu minister

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh education minister Adimulapu Suresh announced the exam dates of all common entrance tests and said they will be held as per the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Centre.

The common entrance tests are scheduled to be held from 10 September, starting with AP ICET which will be conducted in four sessions on 10 and 11 September. AP ECET is scheduled for 14 September while AP EAMCET will be held between 17 and 25 September. AP PGCET will be held on 26 September, AP PGECET from 28 to 30 September, AP EDCET and AP LawCET on 1 October, and APPECET will be held on from 2 to 5 October.

Candidates can check information related to exam dates, download of admit cards, and exam day instructions on the APSCHE's website www.sche.ap.gov.in.

As many as 2,72,720 candidates have registered for EAMCET, 64,884 candidates for AP ICET, and 37,167 have applied for AP ECET. Keeping the students’ health in view, the number of examination slots have been increased to accommodate fewer number of students in each slot.

All examination centres will be sanitised with sodium hypochloride after each session and the centre will also house sanitisers, gloves, face masks, and thermal scanners to ensure a safe environment, the minister said, assuring parents that all safety precautions are in place.
