AR Rahman’s 99 Songs heads to Busan International Film Festival

Hyderabad: Undoubtedly, AR Rahman is a pride of India. His projects have gone to the Academy’s and brought India one of its first Oscars. Music lovers across the globe admire his works. Currently, he is working on several projects including Vijay’s Bigil directed by Atlee. Also, he is going to compose music for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, which is said to have an ensemble cast.

Apart from his many other projects, the maestro is busy making his debut as a writer for his 99 Songs. He has written the dialogues alongside Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas, while Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy directs the project. The music composer is also debuting as a producer for the project under his YM Movies banner, in association with Jio Cinemas.

As per latest reports, the film has been selected to be showcased at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival on October 9. AR Rahman tweeted, “Thrilled to announce, our labour of love #99Songs, directed by Vishwesh K starring Ehan Bhat will be showcased at Busan International Film Festival on Oct 9,"

Rahman also unveiled the first look poster of the film, and it was a hit among the audience. Many of Rahman’s fans have been waiting for this project and finally, looks like the good news will be a sigh of relief to them.
