Background of the four accused in gang-rape of veterinary doctor

Hyderabad: Delivering ‘instant justice’, Cyberabad police in the wee hours of Friday shot dead four rapists of the veterinary doctor in an alleged encounter. They were taken to the crime scene near Outer Ring Road for reconstruction between 5:30 am to 6:15 am.

Speaking of the rapists, here's what you should know about the four of them

1. Mohammed Areef - A native of Jaklair village, Makhtal mandal of Narayanpet District, 26-year-old is the eldest of two children and has an unmarried younger sister. His parents worked as daily-wage labourers. Completing his 10th standard at a government school in 2010, he got a job through one of his friends, Jahangir, in a gas company auto at Kukatpally. In 2016, he worked at the HP petrol bunk at his village. By the end of 2016, he worked as a lorry cleaner. In 2017, he started working as a lorry driver.

2. Jollu Shiva - A native of Makthal Mandal, Narayanpet District, 20-year-old is the youngest of the three siblings. Earning an income out of agriculture, Jollu Shiva started working as a lorry cleaner since September with his friend and one of the rapists, Chennakeshavulu.

3. Jollu Naveen - A native od Makhtal mandal, Narayanpet District, the 20-year-old has studied till eighth Standard at Chinna porla village of Utkur mandal while staying with his maternal aunt. He came back to Gudigandla village around three years ago and learnt operating Ajax concrete machine at Tandoor. He later worked at Warangal for six months. He is a relative of Jollu Shiva.

4. Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu - A native of Makhtal mandal, Narayanpet District, the 21-year-old was a lorry driver. He is the younger sibling of two. His parents earned a living by doing agriculture work. Married a year ago, he earlier worked with Mohammed Areef as a lorry cleaner.
