The Rajya Sabha MP had adopted the Keesara reserved forest to mark TRS working president and state minister KTR's birthday last year. He had requested his friends and others to adopt reserved forest areas. He had launched the fourth round of the “green challenge” on 11 June along with Prabhas.
On Monday, the actor, along with forest minister Allola Indra Karan Reddy and Santosh Kumar, laid the foundation stone for an urban forest park. They observed the reserve forest from a temporary watchtower and later planted a few saplings there.

The Rajya Sabha MP said soon many industrialists will come forward to adopt reserve forest blocks. The programme at Khajipalli took place in the presence of a very small number of guests owing to COVID-19 restrictions.
The forest department plans to convert a small portion of the forest into an urban forest park while the rest of the forest will become a conservation zone. The department will fence the entire 1,650 acres and build an eco park.
