Big B tested positive for Covid 19 hospitalised, results of family awaited

Hyderabad: Bollywood's legend, Amitabh Bachchan has tested positive for COVID-19 and is admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. The actor took to twitter and shared, 'I have tested CoviD positive shifted to hospital informing authorities , family and staff undergone tests, results awaited. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested".

He has also requested people in propinquity to get themselves tested in order to be safe, in the same tweet. Amitabh had even made a video on Covid 19 and the importance of wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing.

People from across the globe wished him speedy recovery within minutes of his announcement. While few seemed to be worried about his pre-existing health concerns and Covid's impact on it.

His latest movie, Gulabo Sitabo recently aired on an OTT platform owing to the restrictions and guidelines to avoid CoVID19. He is also currently working on Brahmastra, Chehre and Jhund. He was filming the latest season of ,"Kaun Banega Crorepati" but due to the virus posing a bigger threat to senior citizens, the work is presently stalled.

He recently arranged flights and helped 700 migrants fly home to their families in Uttar Pradesh, due to the pandemic.

To recall, Big B, in a blog about his apprehension over losing his vision, wrote," The eyes they see blurred images .. the vision reads double and for some days now I reconciled myself to the fact that blindness is on its way, to add to the million other medical problems that invest in me... But then...today...thought of those early years when Ma used to take the edge of the sari, the 'pallu', make a soft round ball with it, blow into it to make it warm and place it on the eye .. and BAM! problem solved...So followed that .. hot watered a hand towel and placed it on the eyes .. spoke to the doc and followed his instruction of putting in prescribed eye drops every hour .. reassured me that I was not going blind - that there was far too much time being spent in front of the computer .. the eyes were tired .. that's all...And YES...that old Mother’s technology worked...
