Bigg Boss of TN is AIADMK: Minister

Chennai: The war of words between the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) seems to have escalated after DMK president M.K. Stalin questioned the motive behind Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami's visit abroad. Now, senior state Cabinet minister has come to the defence of the CM.

Speaking at an event, Tamil Nadu minister Kadambur Raju said, "Whatever the DMK failed to do when they were in power, the AIADMK government is fulfilling it. When J. Jayalalithaa was in power, Global Investors Meet (GIM) was conducted in 2015, and we managed to get between Rs 3 lakh to Rs 40 lakh worth investments. Now the second GIM will be conducted under Mr Palaniswami's leadership. To attract more investments, the CM embarked on a foreign trip and Stalin making such childish remarks."

The minister said, "Bigg Boss of Tamil Nadu is AIADMK. When Athi Varadar came out from the pond in 1979, the AIADMK government was here. Now in 2019, when the Almighty came out again, we are in power. Be it Jallikattu, Mullai Periyar or Cauvery, the AIADMK government alone acted with a purpose."

Questioning Stalin's silence in condemning rising prices of milk in Puducherry, the minister said, "People may have voted for the DMK in the Lok Sabha elections. But in Assembly polls, they will stand behind the AIADMK."
