Bigil’s trailer trends on social media

Chennai: The trailer of Vijay’s upcoming movie Bigil became an instant hit upon its release. The video has been trending on many social media platforms and has been shared several times. There have also been talks on social media suggesting that Bigil has traces of Shah Rukh Khan’s Chaka de India.
Directed by Atlee, the movie, which will hit screens in Diwali, has Vijay in dual roles. He plays the role of a football coach. The movie was mostly shot in Chennai at a specially-erected football stadium set at EVP Studios in the city. Vijay recently showed his generous gesture towards the film’s crew, by gifting the 300-plus crew gold rings with ‘Bigil’ carved on it.
With music by AR Rahman and bankrolled by AGS Entertainment, Nayanthara plays the female lead. A sports action entertainer, the movie also features Kathir, Indhuja, Jackie Shroff, Daniel Balaji, Vivek, Yogi Babu, Anandaraj, Amrita, Varsha, and Rebba Monica in critical roles.
After Bigil, Vijay will next be seen in a Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial. The shooting will begin in summer 2020 for this flick bankrolled by Xavier Britto under XB Film Creators. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in this film as the antagonist. Malavika Mohan of Petta fame will play the female lead.
