BJP MLA Raja Singh name in Rowdy-sheeter list

Hyderabad: Goshamahal BJP MLA, Raja Singh has been named as a rowdy-sheeter in a new list issued by Mangalhat Police station of Hyderabad commissionerate.

As on 16th December 2019, the Mangalhat police authorities have identified 33 rowdy-sheeters in their jurisdiction, which includes the name of BJP MLA.

Speaking about it, the MLA said, “ Few of my karyakarta’s were called to the police station to sigh in regard to a case,one of them noticed my name and informed me. At first, I felt pained. I am a two-time legislator elected by the people of Goshamahal, I am engaged in public service and the Telangana police has identified me as a rowdy-sheet.’

He further adds, “There are many MLAs and Ministers within the TRS party who were earlier booked as rowdy-sheeters and hold a criminal history, will the Telangana police name them or will the cases booked against be probed further’ he asked.

Earlier in the month, Bahadurpura police of Hyderabad commissionerate registered a case against Goshamahal MLA from BJP Raja Singh Lodh, after his comments in regard to the gang-rape of Disha. Singh in a twitter post wrote, “ Hame ummed this ki Mohammed jaisa waitkthi hi rape aur murder kar sakta hai.”

Taking a strong objection of the post and mention of Mohammed’s name, Hyderabad resident Mohammad Nawazuddin from Kishanbagh complained. While condemning the incident, he also sought strict action against the legislator, following which a case was registered under charges of Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings or any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs is registered against him.

So far there are 43 cases registered against Raja Singh at various police stations across Telangana and in other parts of the country. With this the number reached 44, making him the legislator among those with more number of criminal cases pending against them.
