Visakhapatnam: The British Deputy High Commissioner to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Dr Andrew Fleming, claims that he was caught off-guard by the mock terror raid that was conducted by Novotel Vizag on Thursday.
Dr Andrew Fleming, who was in Vizag met Bheemili MLA, Avanthi Srinivas Rao and was in Novotel Vizag when the hotel officials conducted a mock terror raid. Dr Fleming took to Twitter to share his experience and said it nearly killed him as he wrote , " Dear @Accor; rather like many of your staff @Novotel_Vizag you too may find it funny but your mock terror raid nearly killed me. It happened over 30 minutes earlier than advertised, explosions, men with guns. Everyone amused I dived behind the reception desk, still shaking. "
He further shared an apology note which one of his colleagues at the hotel received. He wrote, "Dear @Accor Further to my earlier tweet my colleague, who is also still shaken, recovered this from @Novotel_Vizag before checking out. Not only did the said activity happen at 09:26; the note gave no mention of explosions, men with guns and all else I witnessed. Very poor".
