As per the directions of DGP M. Mahender Reddy, measures have been taken by the Hyderabad city police to increase security at the hospital. Meanwhile, on Thursday, the DGP visited the hospital and interacted with the medicos and other hospital staff. He has assured them full support from the police department.
Two additional DCP-rank officers have been posted to monitor security at the hospital round-the-clock. Further, the police have directed hospital authorities to reduce the number of entries to the hospital and also to the building where the patients are being treated.
Since the outbreak of the virus, there has been a demand from the medical staff and hospital authorities to increase security at the hospital. After Wednesday’s incident, medicos threatened to boycott duties if adequate security measures were not taken to ensure their safety.
