Caught on camera Hyderabad women thrashing watchman with slipper

Hyderabad: A woman from Chandanagar was caught-on-camera thrashing a watchman of Godavari Apartment in Hyderabad on 24th of August. In the video, which has gone viral, the women driving a white colour Volkswagen Polo car is seen beating up the watchman following a skirmish. The woman can be seen using her footwear to attach the watchman.

According to the Police, the woman identified as Laxmi had come to Chandanagar’s Reddy Colony, Godavari Apartment to visit her mother. 'Earlier the woman had a quarrel with her mother resulting in the lady informing the watchman not to allow her daughter into the apartment without her permission. On several occasions the watchman had stopped the women and the same happened On 24th of August.In response to him, the woman got enraged and thrashed the watchman, said the Police.
“We received a complaint from the watchman, the petition has been submitted before the court. Police is yet to receive a legal advise to book a case. In case the petition is accepted by the court, we will register a case against the woman”, added G.Shyam Prasad, SI, Chandanagar Police Station.
The video since then has gone viral on the internet and had already been seen by more than 20,000 people and netizens have been asking why delay in filing an FIR, if it were a watchman who slapped would Police take it as a non-cognizable crime?
