Chandrababu Naidu provoking people, causing dissent, says Srikanth Reddy

Amaravati: YSRCP MLA G. Srikanth Reddy, on 26 February, alleged that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is creating dissent and provoking people in the capital region and said the Praja Chaitanya Yatra was a sham and a flop show. He said the former Chief Minister's language reflects his growing frustration.

"The language and conduct of Chandrababu Naidu during the Yatra shows his frustration because of the poor response, on one hand, and the appreciation for CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's welfare policies, on the other," the MLA said.

"We are refraining from hitting back against the TDP as per the directive of our leader Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy. Mr Naidu tried to blame the present government when, during the Kuppam public meeting, a youth said he had to pay Rs. 1 lakh for online registration. But when he realised that it was during his term in 2018, he had to beat a hasty retreat. Jagan, on the other hand, is working to eradicate corruption and has launched a toll-free number to receive complaints," Mr Srikanth Reddy said.

The MLA said that Mr Naidu had tried to portray Pulivendula panchayatilu in a poor light. "What Mr Naidu is doing in the capital region is sponsoring agitations, besides engineering attacks on YSRCP leaders," he said, adding that Mr Naidu has no right to speak about Rayalaseema. "It is Mr Naidu who ruined projects like Handri Neeva and he is to blame for the poor plight of the farmers in the region. It was Dr Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy who took an interest and pursued the projects. Now, our Chief Minister is giving priority to agriculture and irrigation. Mr Naidu always boasted about the investments, the visit of Bill Gates, and the establishment of KIA company. KIA did not come because of Mr Naidu. They came after seeing the Handri Neeva project established by Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy," he said.

He further said that by using his "friendly media" Mr Naidu was spreading falsehood about investments while failing to mention welfare schemes that were being carried out by the state. "Chandrababu Naidu is politicising the visit of American President Donald Trump and accusing the state government of not being considered for the dinner invitation. It is he who supported Hillary Clinton and campaigned against Mr Trump. Even his son, Lokesh, went to the USA and campaigned against Mr Trump. Today, he is accusing the government of not receiving a dinner invitation."
