Chandrababu Naidu’s political rival Chandramouli dies

Vijayawada, April 18: YSR Congress Party leader and Kuppam Assembly constituency in-charge K Chandramouli passed away after fighting a prolonged battle against cancer in Hyderabad on Friday.

Chandramouli was the TDP supremo Nara Chandrababu's political rival in Kuppam constituency.

A former bureaucrat, Chandramouli unsuccessfully contested against TDP supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu in 2014 and 2019 elections. He got 55,000 votes in 2014 and 70,000 votes in 2019 elections.

A 1990 batch IAS officer, Chandramouli resigned from his job and joined in YSR Congress party in 2014. He was ailing for some time and could not even campaign during the 2019 elections.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy and Minister for Panchayat Raj P Ramachandra Reddy expressed condolences to the bereaved family.

Apart from ruling YSRC leaders, TDP leaders including Nara Chandrababu and others expressed deep condolence over the demise of Channdramouli.
