Hyderabad: Chandrayangutta double murder case has taken a new twist after the prime accused was found hanging in his house at Salala on Wednesday evening.

Twenty-five-year-old Ahmed Bin Salam Bin Ismail was absconding since he stabbed four of his family members on Monday

Two of his victims-- Razia Begum,35, and Zakira Begum 45 –succumbed to their injuries. His younger sister Noora Begum and her husband, however, were badly injured.

“Salman ran away after stabbing his brother in law. He also took away his motorbike. We had informed all police stations and circulated the registration number on all WhatsApp groups. His bike was spotted by the locals on Wednesday evening behind the house. When we entered the house we found him hanging,” said MA Rasheed, assistant commissioner of police (ACP), Falaknuma.

He said cops were on a lookout for him when they got the tip-off. “He must have scaled the wall since the house is open and has a dense tree cover. No one saw him entering the house. We were giving protection to his mother and elder sister just 100 meters away from the house,” Rasheed said.

Ahmed Bin Salman was out on bail since September 2019. He was accused of the murder of his wife Fatima Sadi in 2019. He had allegedly killed his wife after suspecting her of having an affair with another man.
