Chiru knows nothing about a capital’s importance: Producer Aswanidutt

Hyderabad: Megastar Chiranjeevi does not know anything about the capital city’s importance, said popular producer C Aswanidutt while finding fault with him for supporting the three capitals proposal.

Aswanidutt extended his support to the agitating farmers in favour of Amaravati as the capital city of Andhra Pradesh.

“I know the plight of farmers, who handed over their land to the cause of the capital city. I wonder how Chiranjeevi supported the proposal. Whoever supports multiple capital cities system will expose their ignorance of the political system. What does Chiranjeevi know about the capital city and its importance for a State? He does not know that multiple capital cities system failed all over the world. Chiranjeevi does not even know why Pawan Kalyan is fighting for farmers over Amaravati issue. Pawan Kalyan knows the problems of the farming community that is why he’s supporting the agitation,” said Aswanidutt.

'Why is YS Jagan Mohan Reddy encouraging Prthviraj?'

Responding to comments made by comedian and SVBC chairman Prithviraj, he said that it’s unfortunate that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was encouraging such people.

“Where has Prithviraj come from? What’s his capacity and stature? How and why Jagan Mohan Reddy is encouraging people of such stature and nominating them in higher posts is beyond my comprehension. If Jagan contributes at least 10 per cent of what his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy did, then he will become a great Chief Minister,” added Aswanidutt.

The cine producer further added that if farmers stop watching movies of those heroes, who’re against Amaravati capital city, they will come down to a realistic level.

Farmers in Amaravati region are protesting the proposal of three capital cities.

A joint action committee (JAC) of farmers recently staged dharnas and blocked roads preventing the police from entering villages.
