Chittoor student jailed for one year and fined with Rs 41.75 lakhs in the USA

Chittoor : A student belonging to Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh gets one-year imprisonment and fined with Rs 41.75 lakhs (58471 USD) by the court in the United States of America for intentionally damaging more than 60 computers in college using USB killer.
The person is identified as Akutota Vishwanath. He has been to New York on a student visa in 2015 and did his education at Saint Rose College. In February he has used a USB killer intentionally, which has destroyed 66 computers with power fluctuations. The police have arrested him on 22 February on the same charges.
After a full-court trial, the court has ordered one-year imprisonment and a fine amount of Rs 41.75 lakhs. However, the education trip of 27 years old has ended up with imprisonment.
