Constable injured after his gun goes off

Hyderabad: A constable of Telangana State Special Police (TSSP) sustained a severe injury when his riffle accidentally went off on Saturday.
Kiran Kumar received a bullet injury in his head and is said to be in a critical condition. He is posted at Tiryani police station at Komaram Bheem Asifabad district of Telangana.
Kiran Kumar belongs to 13th Battalion of TSSP at Gudipet in Mancherial district.
Police said on Saturday afternoon, he was cleaning his weapon and in the process it went off and bullet pierced through his head. After hearing the gun shot, his colleagues rushed to the spot and evacuated him to the hospital.
According to sources, Kiran was operated upon, however his condition is said to be critical.
Meanwhile, there are also rumours that Kiran might have attempted suicide. However, it was not confirmed. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
