Coronavirus: 13 suspects from Karimnagar admitted to Fever Hospital

Hyderabad: Thirteen people from Karimnagar district were admitted to Fever Hospital in Nallakunta, one of the nodal centres for Coronavirus treatment in the state, on 16 March. All 13 reportedly travelled from Indonesia and reached Telangana a few days ago. They were taken to the hospital after they started showing signs of fever and flu.

The Union ministry of health and family welfare, on Sunday, announced that Telangana had reported three confirmed cases of Coronavirus, including the first COVID-19 patient who was discharged on 13 March. The second person who tested positive had travelled from Netherlands, according to health officials. Another 24-year-old student returned to Khammam from Italy on 7 March. She was treated at a local hospital after she started showing symptoms of the virus. She was admitted to Gandhi Hospital on 11 March and on 14 March she tested positive for Corona virus.

Meanwhile, the Centre said that 110 positive cases, including 17 foreign nationals, have been confirmed in India as of 15 March. Maharashtra and Kerala registered the highest number of cases. While Maharashtra has 33 Coronavirus patients, Kerala had 24, as of now.

India has so far reported two deaths due to COVID-19, a 68-year-old woman from Delhi died on 13 March and a 76-year-old man from Kalburgi, Karnataka, died on 10 March.
