Hyderabad: Colleges affiliated to the Osmania University will complete classes for all UG and PG students by conducting online classes. The varsity has asked the colleges to complete courses by April 2020.
A statement released by the university said, “As there is a remote possibility of conducting regular class room teaching for the present academic year, to avoid academic loss to our students, it is decided to continue the teaching learning process and complete the remaining syllabus of all theory courses using various online and e-learning methodologies.”
The teachers have been asked to create WhatsApp groups through which they can share their online class schedule and other study material. Even assignments and internal tests will be shared via WhatsApp with the students.
The university has asked the colleges to use already existing tools like Skype, Google classroom and Zoom etc. to conduct online lectures. The college principal has to maintain a record of such lectures held. The teachers can also share videos relevant to the subject on YouTube with the students.
