COVID-19: 34 new coronavirus cases take Andhra tally to 226

Vijayawada: The number of COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh has risen to 226, with 34 samples testing positive on Sunday. Kurnool district accounted for 23 of these new cases, Chittoor district accounted for 7 and Nellore and Prakasam districts accounted for two each of the new cases.
The Nellore district continued to be the district with the most number of cases with 34 corona-positive patients, the highest in Andhra Pradesh. It is followed by Guntur (30), Krishna (28), Kurnool (27), Prakasam and Kadapa 23 cases each, Chittoor (17), Visakhapatnam and West Godavari 15 cases each, East Godavari (11) and Ananthapur (3).
The two districts Srikakulam and Vizianagaram of North Andhra Pradesh are yet to report any positive cases and have remained safe districts so far.
