COVID-19: Another patient dies, death toll touches 46 in Andhra

Visakhapatnam: The Covid-19 death toll in Andhra Pradesh has increased to 46 after one more positive person died in Krishna district on Tuesday.
With 33 fresh coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours, the COVID- 19 tally has increased to 2,051 in Andhra Pradesh.
The good news is that 58 patients have been discharged from hospitals. In all, 1,056 coronavirus patients have recovered.
The Chennai Koyambedu wholesale market connection was evident in the fresh spurt. Chittoor reported 10 new cases, Nellore 9 and East Godavari 1. Kurnool district reported nine and Krishna district reported four coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours.
The rise in the cases was primarily due to the record number of samples being tested in the state, medical, and health department officials said. Around 1, 91,874 tests have been conducted to date. In the last 24 hours, 10,730 tests were conducted.
Kurnool, the worst-affected district, reported a total of 584 Covid-19 cases. Sixteen people have died in the district. Guntur district reported a total of 387 Covid-19 cases and also 8 deaths. Krishna district reported 346 cases and 14 deaths.
