COVID-19: Hyderabad traffic police start screening staff, visitors coming to city traffic complex

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic police have procured two hand-held infrared thermometers to screen the staff and visitors. Officials of the Hyderabad traffic complex are checking the body temperature of traffic personnel on lockdown duty and visitors and staff entering the complex.

Apart from this, the station house officers of all traffic police stations under Hyderabad limits have been asked to send daily health reports of officers working at the police station. Health issues, in case any, should be reported to the Hyderabad additional traffic commissioner of police. Meanwhile, the traffic police are being regularly educated about hygiene practices, like how to use sanitisers, and other important processes.

Hyderabad traffic control room (04027852482) and helpline (9010203626) is available 24/7 to respond to any emergency, said traffic officials.

The Rachakonda comissionerate has also ordered medical check-up for its staff members. In order to protect personnel manning check-posts and to boost their immunity, the Rachkonda cops were given medicines prescribed by the Ayush ministry. A traffic constable from Medpally tested positive for COVID-19 during a medical check-up organised by the police.
