COVID-19: Two more deaths in Telangana, total positive cases increase to 531

Hyderabad: Telangana reported two more deaths due to COVID-19, taking the state toll to 16. As on April 11, the total number of Coronavirus cases detected in the state is 531, of which 28 were reported today and 103 have been discharged. The active cases stand at 412.

In today’s Bulletin, the Health Minstry of Telangana also announced that to meet the emergency requirement of blood during lockdown. Blood will be made available in all the government blood banks. Apart from that uninterrupted service is being provided for pregnant ladies.

As of today a total of 202 hotspots have been found in the state, the ministry said in its statement. The health bulletin further specified that six diagnostic labs are functioning 24 x 7 to meet the demand. It also stated that the family contacts and secondary contacts of Markaz, Delhi are being traced, tracked, tested and treated for COVID-19.

According to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao statement yesterday he said, “Around 1200 people who attended the Tablighi Jamaat including their primary contact were quarantined, in total 1650 were placed in isolation.”

The extended the lockdown till April 30 yesterday, after the ALL CM meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from Telangana, other states like Maharahtra, West Bengal, Odisha , Punjab and Karnataka have also extended lockdowns.
