Hyderabad cops arrest Rohingya man with fake Aadhar card

Hyderabad: A 34-year-old Rohingya man, who illegally procured a fake Aadhar card, was arrested by Hyderabad police. He has been identified as Raheemulla.

According to police, Raheemullah after sneaking into India came to Hyderabad around 10 years ago. Since then he has been residing in Baba Nagar at Kanchanbagh. A few months ago, he paid some amount to an agent and obtained an Aadhar card on his name.

Working on a tip-off, Kanchan Bagh police teams raided his house and found that he was in possession of a fake Aadhar card. While he has been arrested and sent to remand, police are also probing if his wife and children are also having any fake documents.

Further special teams have also been deputed to nab the agent who facilitated Raheemullah in obtaining the fake Aadhar card.

In the past, several Rohingya people and their kin have been arrested in parts of Kanchanbagh, Chandrayanagutta, Balapur, Pahadishareef and other places in Hyderabad. They all managed to obtain Aadhar card, voted-ID cards and other government-related documents through illegal means. But the agents who are of Indian origin and belonging to Hyderabad have successfully evaded police in most of the cases.
