Vexed with hair loss, teenager hangs self in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Upset over his head turning bald due to a health disorder, a JEE aspirant allegedly committed suicide at Madhapur of Hyderabad. The victim Pratyush Mishra was found hanging in the bathroom of their house on Monday.

According to police, 18-year-old Pratyush Mishra a resident of Sunshine Apartment at Khanamet completed his Intermediate and was preparing for JEE entrance.

For the past few months, he was suffering from health complications. He was getting restless that he was turning bald and informed his parents.

Though he had undergone medication for the problem, there was no cure, which upset him further, and he could not concentrate on his preparations.

Meanwhile, on Monday after his father left for work and his mother was busy with household chores, he went to his room. After completing her work, when his mother went to his room, she could not find him. Further, she noticed that the bathroom was closed from inside but there was no response when she knocked on the door. After several attempts, she called her husband, who rushed home. When they broke open the door, to their horror, they found him hanging to the ventilator.

When they rushed him to the nearby private hospital, the doctors declared that he was brought dead.

Madhapur police registered a case and started the investigation.
