Current heroines have no focus of work, says Vijayashanthi

Hyderabad: Actress Vijayashanthi is making her comeback to the silver screen after 13 long years with Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Nekevaru. Her fans are awaiting updates from the production house and are looking forward to watching the actress on the big screen. The senior actress, after taking a break from films, entered politics and has been very successful. The actress said that she now has some free time after the elections which is why she has decided to give films a try once again.

Vijayashanthi has been named Lady Amitabh for the kind of roles she has played throughout her career. She has always been one of those actresses who has always been in demand. Actresses back in the day used to do 17 to 18 films a year and used to go to sets at 5 am and go home almost the same time the next day.

But it looks like this senior actress is not impressed with any of cinema's current heroines. She feels that the heroines now have the luxury of picking and choosing scripts they want to do. The actress has also expressed discontent with actresses' performances nowadays. She also feels that none of them focuses on the work.

The actress is said to be playing a professor in this Anil Ravipudi directorial which has Rashmika Mandanna starring as the leading lady. Bandla Ganesh is also making a comeback as a comedian with this project along with multiple famous stars. It is slated for release soon.
