Cyberabad traffic police to register cases, impound learning licences of violators

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Traffic police have decided to register cases against trainee drivers who are violating the conditions associated with the “Learner’s Licence” (LL), as per the Motor Vehicles Act.

As per the rules, a person holding an LL must follow certain important mandatory conditions. Under rules, a learner should be accompanied by a person having a valid driving licence. The vehicle should have an “L” plate affixed on the front and rear windscreens. Besides, the learner should follow traffic rules.

The decision has been taken in view of the rampant violations by the people with LL. It is noticed that most of the persons with LL are driving all sorts of vehicles without following any rules. Instead of using it for the purpose of learning proper driving, they are driving recklessly on all roads.

From now on, any person with LL is found to be violating any conditions or any traffic rules, his/her LL will be impounded and forwarded to the concerned RTA for cancellation as per rules.

Since the Cyberabad area witnesses a large number of road crashes and deaths every year, strict enforcement of traffic rules is important. As learners, they should learn all rules properly at the initial stages only. Otherwise, they would become vulnerable to/cause of road crashes in the future.
