Dhoni visits Satya Saibaba samadhi in Puttaparti

Hyderabad: Former Team India captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, on Tuesday visited the samadhi of Satya Saibaba at Prashanti Nilayam in Anantapur district’s Puttaparthi.

Huge arrangements were made by the Trust to welcome the charismatic Captain Cool, who was shown around by one of the trustees, Mr Ratnakar. The cricketer paid floral tributes at the Baba’s samadhi. Later, he interacted with all Trust members and looked in a happy mood, all through.

On the cricketing front, Dhoni last turned up for India in July for the World Cup semifinal clash against New Zealand, which India lost by 18 runs in a rain-truncated game that was spread over two days. He was recently excluded in the list of players with a central BCCI contract, which raised eyebrows amid an imminent retirement.

Hashtags such as "#ThankyouDhoni" were also trending on Twitter.

However, with IPL round the corner, fans will see Dhoni back in action as the skipper of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The ICC T20 World Cup is slated for November.

Meanwhile, CSK boss, N Srinivasan has asserted that Dhoni will lead the team in next year’s IPL also, irrespective of whether he plays for India or not.
