Didi Ke Bolo a huge hit, Mamata thanks people

Hyderabad: The 'Didi Ke Bolo' initiative launched by the West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee government to reach the masses has received a huge response since its launch on July 29. The initiative has seen an overwhelming response from over 10 lakh people.

“In the last one month, 1,000,350 people across the state reached out to Didi (Mamata) and her office through the ‘Didi Ke Bolo’ platform with their words of appreciation for the initiative, suggestions for the government or the party, and grievances that they would like the government or the party to address,” said a statement released by the TMC.

Meanwhile, Mamata has thanked the people of the state for their “overwhelming response.” The TMC supremo tweeted, “I am humbled with the overwhelming response of the people on the @DidiKeBolo platform. In the last 30 days, over 10 lakh people have reached out to us with their words of appreciation for the initiative, valuable suggestions & grievances.”

“I thank each one for their support and acknowledgement. We take note of their valuable suggestions and are committed to working overtime to resolve their grievances to an extent possible in an expeditious manner,” the West Bengal Chief Minister tweeted.

“A total of 214 people in distress reached out to Didi’s office through the ‘Didi Ke Bolo’ platform, of which 161 cases were solved on priority,” the statement from TMC leadership read further.

In addition to this, as part of the ‘Didi Ke Bolo’ initiative, close to 500 TMC MLAs and senior leaders conducted an outreach programme in 1,022 villages. The leaders held Jan Sangjog Sabhas during their on-ground visits, in which they visited key influencers in the villages and interacted with the locals, heard their suggestions and grievances, and spent the night in one of the workers’ home.

Mamata Banerjee and her party's stand has softened after the arrival of Prashant Kishor-led Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC) which is strategising for her party to lead to the course of victory in the upcoming 2021 Assembly Elections amid facing a tough challenge from the BJP.
