Doctor arrested for taking bribe in Siddipet

Hyderabad: The anti-corruption bureau sleuths arrested a doctor on 30 June for demanding bribe from another doctor for the renewal of her service contract agreement.

Dr. T. Raghunath, the district coordinator of Aarogyasri Health Care Trust in Ranga Reddy district and the coordinator of Siddipet district, had demanded Rs. 25,000 from Dr. Meenal Sridhar to renew the service contract agreement for her dental clinic.

After a tip-off from the complainant, Dr. Meenal Sridhar, the anti-corruption bureau officials laid a trap and recovered Rs. 25,000 from Dr. T Raghunath’s bag. The chemical test also yielded positive results. The accused doctor was arrested and produced before the additional special judge for SPE and ACB cases in Hyderabad
