Drunk man falls into 100-ft deep well in Kadapa, rescued

Kadapa: A man, who fell into a 100-feet deep well while drawing water, was finally rescued by the fire service personnel and the police after a rescue operation at Ramanjineyapuram in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, on 14 July.
Kishore and Ayodhya, fruit traders of Ramanjineyapuram, went to the Chinthakommadinne (CK Dinne) area to buy some papayas. They were unable to procure the fruit. However, they noticed a liquor store nearby and purchased a bottle of alcohol.
After consuming the liquor, the duo felt thirsty. Kishore decided to draw some water from a well near the fields. While he was climbing down the steps, he accidentally fell into the 100-ft deep well. Ayodhya called the CK Dinne police station and requested them to save his friend.

The police, led by sub-inspector R. Rajeswara Reddy, along with the fire personnel, led by station fire officer Basivi Reddy, rushed to the spot. The fire service personnel climbed down the well, tied Kishore with a rope, and lifted him out. Kishore had suffered a few injuries and was admitted to a hospital.
