Drunk youngsters misbehave with woman, assault police outside High Five Sky Lounge

Hyderabad: A group of intoxicated youngsters were arrested for misbehaving with a young woman, abusing her male friend and attempting to assault cops near a pub in Hyderabad.
Sources said the woman, who lives in Secunderabad and works for a private firm in the city, had visited the High Five Sky Lounge & Pub at Begumpet with a male friend on Saturday night. Around 1.30 am, they left the pub. The woman waited at the entrance as her friend had gone to get their vehicle.
Noticing the lone woman, the police said, the youngsters approached her and passed some remarks. She immediately moved away from them, but the group followed her and started making lewd comments at her.
As the woman was becoming more worried, her friend arrived. When he tried to stop the youngsters from harassing her, they became aggressive. The friend immediately dialled 100 and alerted police. Within minutes, a patrolling team from Punjagutta police station arrived at the spot.
When the cops asked the group to behave, the youngsters flew into a rage and tried to assault the patrolling personnel. They then got into their SUV and tried to escape, but were intercepted. The harassers were brought to Punjagutta police station. Further inquiries are underway.
