Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt have teamed for the first time to make Gangubai Kathiawadi. This film has been Alia’s dream project, and she will play the titular role of a foul-mouthed, firebrand woman who ruled Mumbai’s brothels and the underworld. Alia will be seen in a raw and rustic avatar, and this role is going to take her career to new heights. Alia is currently busy with Brahmastra, for which she has paired with Ranbir Kapoor.

This film a biopic of Kapil Dev and the Indian Cricket Team, based on the former Indian Captain leading the team to World Cup victory in 1983. Ranveer is playing Kapil Dev, and Deepika Padukone is paying Romi Dev, wife of Kapil. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
