Exit polls indicate landslide victory for BJP in Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly elections
By Newsmeter Network Published on 21 Oct 2019 4:13 PM GMTMumbai: As Maharashtra and Haryana complete their polling for the assembly elections, news organisations have already conducted their exit polls predicting the next in power. Most exit polls predict a clean sweep for the saffron party in Maharashtra and Haryana that went to polls on October -21.
If the predictions are to be believed, the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in Maharashtra is likely to win with a considerable margin against the Maha-Aghadi (Grand Front) led by Congress and NCP.
While in Haryana, the BJP-led Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has envisaged a target of 75 out of 90 seats. The exit polls announce a similar landslide victory as well.
I would be totally surprised if the exit polls are wrong. So congratulations in advance to #BJP, winning despite bad governance in both states. Voters care for other factors more, clearly. #MaharashtraElections2019 https://t.co/ojwQYk6j6f
