Extend WiFi facilities to corona positive patients: Eatala Rajender to Gandhi Hospital

Hyderabad: Telangana Minister for Health and Family Welfare Eatala Rajender on Saturday asked Gandhi Hospital administration to provide Wi-Fi facility to the coronavirus patients admitted to the isolation ward.

"Since some of the patients admitted to the isolation ward are higher officials, Wi-Fi facility should be provided to them”, said Rajender after meeting the coronavirus patients at the hospital

The minister said they are working 24×7 to eradicate the fear from the minds of people. “The main reason for the fear is the viral videos from China. People have started thinking that coronavirus directly leads to death. It has instilled fear among the people”, he said

The health minister said if people don't start believing that the infection is curable then any kind of action would not work. “Therefore, we are sharing details on a daily basis to eliminate fear from the minds of people," he said

Rajender also went to check on the 24-year-old techie who was tested positive for coronavirus. He assured him of all medical facilities and help.

The minister was seen wearing the mask only during his meeting with the patients. He said the virus could spread only through the droplets of the positive patient. He also checked on the patients present in different wards.

He was accompanied by the Director of Medical Health Dr Ramesh Reddy and Director of Public Health Dr. Srinivas Rao.

Later he met junior doctors and told them not to panic. "When I can come here, there is no point of you being scared," he said.

He also enquired about the facilities in the hospital. The minister also ordered that no other person should enter the ward where the coronavirus patients are admitted. He also asked the administration to sanitize the lifts with Alcohol based cleaner.
