Fact Check: No, Sushant Singh Rajputs `Pavitra Rishta has not been taken down

Several social media users have come up with conspiracy theories about the unfortunate demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

A few days ago, Twitter user Puspendra Kulshresth @puspendraarmy shared a picture claiming: "Yesterday all the episodes of Sushant's serial 'Pavitra Rishta' were deleted from YouTube and today they also deleted his movie 'MS Dhoni – the untold story' from Amazon Prime".

There were also claims that Zee TV has taken down episodes of 'Pavitra Rishta' from its YouTube channel.

Fact Check:

Claim that the attempts are being made to erase Sushant Singh Rajput's name are FALSE.

We could not find the playlist of 'Pavitra Rishta' on the YouTube channel of Zee TV. But when searched on the website of Zee TV, we found not only articles but also the episodes of the show on 'Zee5.com'.

After the demise of Sushant, the audience started watching the old episodes of 2009 serial. So, Zee TV made all the episodes available on Zee5 and removed the episodes from YouTube, maybe to popularize the OTT platform.

Though the playlist is missing, we are still able to find some of the episodes of the serial uploaded years ago on Zee TV YouTube channel.

The claim also mentions that MS Dhoni – the untold story has also been taken down from Amazon prime platform. The movie is available on the Hotstar platform and can be seen on YouTube.

We also found that other movies of Sushant Singh Rajput including Chhichhore, etc are still available on OTT platforms.

Therefore, the claim that attempts are being made to erase the actor's name is FALSE.
