Father gets 5-year jail for sexually assaulting 13-year-old daughter

A 38-year-old man from Yadagirigutta, who was accused of sexually assaulting his 13-year-old daughter, was convicted by a court on Friday. The court sentenced D Paramesh, the accused, to undergo five years of imprisonment.

The court pronounced the judgement in connection with the case registered in February 2019 at Yadagirigutta police station of Rachakonda commissionerate. The girl’s mother, in her complaint, said that the child was adopted by her sister but the girl would frequently visit their house. During one such visits, Paramesh taking advantage of the loneliness, sexually assaulted her. He also threatened to kill her if she revealed the matter to anybody.

The girl’s mother got to know about the incident and approached the police. He was immediately arrested and a charge sheet was filed in the Nalgonda district court. The trial was completed in less than six months and the verdict was pronounced.
