Flexi war between BJP and TRS at Ganesh pandal in the city

Hyderabad: A 'war' broke out between workers from BJP and TRS parties over erecting of flex banners at a Ganesh pandal in Jubilee hills at Hyderabad city. As the situation was getting out of control, the police swung into action and settled the dispute.

In one of the pandals, some individuals erected flex banners with pictures of the Governor (Designate) of Himachal Pradesh, Bandaru Dattatreya and some other BJP leaders. Angered by this, TRS party workers pulled down the banners with pictures of the BJP leaders and erected banners at the same place with pictures of Jubilee hills MLA, Maganti Gopinath and other TRS senior leaders.

This led to a clash between the two groups. Police rushed to the spot and managed to get the situation under control. They also informed members of both parties that no flex banners can be erected without seeking prior permission from the GHMC. Further, they counselled both groups and dispersed the crowds.
