For KCRs birthday, die-hard fan offers free haircut to cancer patients

Hyderabad: As TRS party is all geared up for its supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao's birthday on February 17, a die-hard fan of the leader has come up with a novel idea to celebrate the leader's birthday. K Ramesh, a resident of Indira Nagar in Banjara Hills and a barber by profession, is offering haircut and shave free of cost for cancer patients undergoing treatment at Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute and also their attendants accompanying the patients.

Ramesh said that he is doing this 'small' act to express his gratitude to the leader. With his hair cutting equipment and two chairs, he started the novel initiative two days ago. Till February 17, he will be offering his services to the people at the hospital, everyday from 12 pm to 5 pm.

He said that this generous act is a small birthday gift to their leader. From day 1, he has seen a flow of public lining up at his temporary shop to avail the services. Though he is not exactly sure of how many people availed the service, it was learnt that at least 30 persons have availed the services every day.

It may be noted that TRS working president and MAUD minister KT Rama Rao has also given a call to the party cadre to plant saplings on KCR's birthday instead of grand celebrations. KCR turns 66 this Monday.
