Four Maharashtra natives arrested for theft in Hyd

Hyderabad : Hyderabad police arrested four thieves from a seven-member gang on Friday. Sleuths from Chandanagar Police Station recovered property worth Rs. 80 lakh.

According to police, the accused broke into a cigarette company and robbed 59 cartons of cigarettes on January 2. They broke the grill lock of the godown with a crowbar and disconnected the CCTV cameras. They looted the cartons from the fourth floor.

All the four arrested are from Maharashtra. They include Sanjay Pundalik Dhumale, Namdev Sambaji Munde, Rathod Rajebhau Babu aka Raju and Gopal Purshotham Daliya. The other three accused, who are absconding are Kashinath Kadham aka Appa, Raju Enjwade and Digamber Dhumale.

The police recovered 59 cigarette cartons worth Rs. 80 lakh. They seized an Ashok Leyland Dost, Toyota Etios car and two cell phones.

They have been charged under Section 380(Theft in dwelling house), Section 457(House-breaking) and Section 411(Dishonestly receiving stolen property) of IPC.
